“Up on the Hill” is a reflection of William’s lifelong journey with the guitar. A combination of established classical pieces, his own originals, and the sounds of nature were recorded both in his childhood home near Kingston, NY, and at Sun Mountain Studios in Boiceville, NY.

His intention is to provide the listener with a deeper view of the shared world we all exist in. William recorded found sounds from up and down the east coast to create a blend of music and nature that can transport the listener into the forest or up to a waterfall. Peaceful ambient sound design, meditative binaural beats, and sound bowls provide the connective tissue between nature and the guitar.

He hopes this record will provide an escape from everyday life while helping people reconnect with mother nature. May this album serve as a gentle reminder that we must take care of her if we wish to hear her songs for years to come.

The first single from NYC duo Faune’s Leap is an introduction to long-time partners and musical collaborators Renee Hikari and William Pearson. After years of backing up touring acts, “Blow Out the Dust” was birthed during quarantine when like many, their careers were on a hiatus. A song about the human relationship with technology and nature. Posing the question as to whether we've gone too far in one direction, and subtly yearning for those days of wandering in nature with only our eyes and ears to guide us.

Faune's Leap is a sensible blend of modernity and nostalgia that sonically explores our roles as human beings and our connection to nature. Their compositions push the boundaries of genres by blending nuances from neoclassical and funk, cosmic soundscapes, and hard beats.

A sonic mood board that navigates the parts of our mind, tucked away, but not forgotten.

Faunes Leap’s 2nd single, “When U Were Mine” will be released on August 12, 2022.
